Daimler 250 V8 Restoration
Envisage were approached to restore a Jaguar MK2 based Daimler 250 V8 as per the clients instructions.
The Challenge
Envisage were required to repair a Jaguar MK2 based Daimler 250 V8’s rear valance and boot lid, with no spare parts available to replace the damaged parts.
Our Approach
Envisage repaired and re-shaped the boot lid and rear valance using traditional hand-working, metal forming techniques. The rear valance panel was replaced and re-leaded as per the original car. Once the boot lid was repaired, it was re-set and gap & profiled to the cars original aperture.
Conclusion
The car was sent to Peacock Prestige, a Jaguar MK1 and MK2 restoration specialists based in Coventry, where it was painted before being returned to the customer. Many classic and specialist car insurers allow the policy holder to choose the repairers.
